The endurance race promised to be very exciting and so it was. Furnibo 2B1 got their Fountain powerboat ready on time. Team Masforce Pegase prayed to the gods for rough seas but the gods misunderstood the good intentions as heavy rains and thunderstorms struck San Benedetto del Tronto. Everything except rough seas. Gino Passchier with Searex Cranefields Wine started good but soon they had to abandon the race due to engine problems. Continue to obtain 70% of the laps needed to gain points made no sense without damaging the engines. What an unexpected set back for this team after a promising powerpole and sprint race. While talking to Gino on the phone it was clear that the team still has the spirit to continue and make all preparations for Sweden. Only 3 boats out of 7 made it across the finish line in the evolution class: team #88 SNAV OSG, #33 Furnibo 2B1 and #47 Silverline Bullit. It was game over for Metamarine Pignolo 53 when black smoke came out of their hatch. Cigarette Smash Poker as well as Lucas Oil also suffered engine failure and retired from this race. In supersport Masforce kept on going - as we know them - and team SW1 Capital set course to the wet pit before the race was over. Their team had worked all night to repair their boat. Even when IkoCasa tin their Chaudron had to get off the throttles Masforce Pegase was still flying the Italian sea. It was only in the last lap that they were passed by Al&Al Big Sergio by 16 seconds because they had water entering the hull. Therefore they ended in 4th position in the endurance race. Baia Attolini won by just 3 seconds on Seagull Chaudron.
