Maurice Lacroix P1's officiële timing partner in 2010
Het Powerboat P1 Management Ltd meldt ons dat de Zwitserse horlogemakers Maurice Lacroix de officiële Timing Partner is voor het 2010-seizoen. Maurice Lacroix, opgericht in 1961, ontvangt daarmee ook de wereldwijde rechten om alle powerpole kwalificatiesessies als de Maurice Lacroix Powerpole te mogen noemen.
Het snelste team in elke categorie ontvangt een exclusief uurwerk. De powerpole op vrijdag is de kwalificatie voor de endurance- en sprintrace en bepaalt de startposities.
De in Zürich gevestigde producent zal ook een van zijn sensationele horloges schenken aan het team met de meest opmerkelijke prestaties tijdens het 2010-seizoen. Deze award zal tijdens de end-of-seizoen prijsuitreiking plaatsvinden en de naam "Maurice Lacroix Moment in Time" dragen.

Powerboat P1 Management Ltd is pleased to announce that Swiss watchmakers Maurice Lacroix will become the Official Timing Partner for the 2010 world championship. Maurice Lacroix, founded in 1961, will also receive global naming rights for all PowerPole qualifying sessions, which will be known as the Maurice Lacroix PowerPole, for this year.
The landmark deal for Powerboat P1 will see the fastest team from each class receiving one of Maurice Lacroix's exclusive timepieces at every Grand Prix of the Sea. Friday's PowerPole qualifying session is the prelude to each event's race action and determines starting positions for both Sprint and Endurance races.
The Zurich-based manufacturer will also donate another of its sensational watches for the "Maurice Lacroix Moment in Time" at the series' end-of-season awards ceremony, to mark the most outstanding performance during the season.
Powerboat P1 Chairman & CEO, Asif Rangoonwala, welcomed the watchmaking manufacturers to the championship, promising stakeholders that this latest milestone will be the first of many, ahead of the 2010 series. He said: "Our breakthrough partnership with Maurice Lacroix is evidence of how far the championship has come in just seven years. Maurice Lacroix only associates with sporting winners 15-time Grand Slam tennis victor, Roger Federer, 2007 European Tour Order of Merit champion golfer, Justin Rose, and England 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall so Powerboat P1 is honoured to be the latest addition to this prestigious list. The prize for each SuperSport and Evolution Class PowerPole winner will be a Maurice Lacroix Chronographe Valgranges, which retails at 2,500 Pounds.
